Burlingame

Burlingame

With a population of over 30,000 residents, more than 3,500 of whom are senior citizens, Burlingame is a wonderful location for families to raise a family and for the residents to enjoy nature. In 1908 The Burlingame Board of Trustees passed an ordinance that prohibited residents from injuring, cutting down or damaging any trees within the city limits. As a result of this 1908 ordinance, Burlingame is home to over 18,000 trees. Thanks to the large number of natural forestation surrounding the downtown area it is easy to understand why the residents of Burlingame love living there.

A majority of senior citizens that live in Burlingame would prefer to remain in their home as they age rather than have to move into any of the local independent or assisted living facilities. In order to remain in their homes as they age, many of these seniors will need some form of additional assistance and in-home care. At Polaris Home Care we aim to assist our clients with their activities of daily living and to help our clients maintain the highest level of independence possible. Our caregivers undergo rigorous training to ensure that all techniques being used when assisting our clients are done in accordance with industry standard practices.

Polaris Home Care employees are experienced in providing assistance with personal care items such as bathing, exercising, toileting and dressing. In addition to our personal care assistance our caregivers are also experienced at helping with a number of companionship services including medication reminders, cooking, transportation and housekeeping.

Polaris Home Care stands out among other home care agencies in the Bay Area with our Polaris365 Medical Alert Pendant Program and our 24/7 Resident Nurse on-call. The Polaris365 Fall Prevention Program was developed to combat the number one issue facing senior citizens, accidental falls resulting in injury, and often hospitalization. Without a fall prevention program like Polaris365, nearly 66% of hospital injury related admissions are a result of injuries sustained from falls. Our 24/7 on-call RN is available around the clock to answer any questions our clients or their families may have about our clients’ personalized care plans.
